Newsletter Highlights

Here are some of the key stories from the latest edition of DOC Life:

Leadership Reflection

Our latest edition opens with a welcome message from Joint Managing Director Lee Andrews, reflecting on a quarter of continued growth, strong partnerships and community involvement across the business.

Lee recognises the colleagues who have gone beyond their day-to-day roles to support local causes, alongside the personal achievements and milestones celebrated across our teams. He also takes the opportunity to thank everyone for the dedication and commitment that continue to drive us forward.

New Contract Wins

Our commercial team secured new contracts at Cannon Bridge House and Federated Hermes at 150 Cheapside, further strengthening our presence in the City of London.

Our specialist services also continued to expand, with our Window Cleaning Division securing contracts at Gasholders, Capella and Cadence in King’s Cross, alongside Alpha Beta in London, The Octagon in Birmingham and the first tower at Contour in Manchester.

These new contracts represent another positive step in our continued growth, reflecting the collective effort involved in developing client relationships and bringing our services to new locations.

Strengthening Our Teams

We have continued to bring our People & Culture and Operations teams closer together, strengthening the support available to colleagues throughout their time with us, from onboarding and development to their day-to-day experience.

This quarter also saw several new additions to our teams. We welcomed Henry McBride as Apprentice Accountant and Siggi Roberts-Twinn as Sustainability Manager, while Matt Bloom and Ricky Tisbury joined our Window Cleaning Division. Sophie O’Shea also took on expanded responsibilities as Head of Marketing and Sustainability.

We extend a warm welcome to our new colleagues and look forward to seeing their contributions across the business.

SafeContractor Gold

We have successfully renewed our SafeContractor accreditation, alongside achieving Gold level in our Part 2 Sustainability assessment.

This recognition reflects our continued commitment to maintaining safe working practices and responsible business standards. It also provides our clients with added reassurance in the standards we uphold across our operations.

ESG in Action

Our Beyond Cleaning commitment continued to take shape through a range of community and environmental initiatives this quarter.

Colleagues joined clients and partners for Recorra’s beach clean at Gabriel’s Wharf, helping to collect 13.1kg of litter from the Thames riverside. Our teams also volunteered with Arts for All and supported Birmingham Hospice, demonstrating the importance of giving back to the communities in which we operate.

We were also featured in Premises & Facilities Management Magazine, where our article, Building Better Partnerships for a Lower Carbon Future, explores the role of collaboration in supporting progress towards Net Zero.
