Back in 2022, we launched our Beyond Cleaning sustainability strategy to enhance our ways of working and ensure we’re doing our part as best we can to drive positive change within the cleaning sector and promote a better tomorrow for all. The launch of our Beyond Cleaning strategy was held at Fora Spitalfields.

Two years later, we returned to the same venue to reflect on our progress and celebrate the teams and individuals in our business that have gone above and beyond to help DOC thrive. More than 100 members of staff attended the event, plus a selection of our long-standing suppliers. 

The awards honoured the four key pillars of our Beyond Cleaning strategy: Creating A Positive Legacy, Empowering Our People, Ensuring Safer Spaces and Inspiring Bold Action. Additionally, we crowned a Team Of The Year and introduced two new awards – the Roger Odle Memorial Award and the Bob Andrews Rising Star Award.

The Roger Odle Memorial Award pays tribute to Roger Odle. Roger worked for DOC Cleaning for over 40 years, during which time he was noted for his positive energy, genorosity and larger-than-life personality. He was also a lifelong friend of the Andrews family. 

The Bob Andrews Rising Star Award was introduced to commemorate the legacy of Bob Andrews, one of the founding partners of DOC Cleaning, who sadly passed away in September 2023. The close-knit culture, unwavering reliability and traditional values that Bob instilled continue to live on and are now felt by over 1,500 DOC employees nationwide. This award aims to recognise an individual who has demonstrated exceptional standards while upholding our core values in all that they do.
