DOC Cleaning’s Partnership With AquAid

Since 2022, we've supported AquAid - a charity dedicated to providing fresh drinking water for those in vulnerable communities in Africa.

Our Commitment with AquAid

We have been a proud partner of AquAid for more than two years. Through this partnership, we’ve had the opportunity contribute to amazing initiatives such as The Africa Trust.

Earlier this year, our contributions towards AquAid helped fund the installation of an Elephant Water Pump in Manicaland, a province in the northeastern highlands of Zimbabwe. Providing sustainable solutions like these reflects our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our industry. We’re proud to help empower communities and provide them with clean water access, further benefiting their health and well-being.

With every water cooler and bottle of water we obtain from AquAid, a donation is made on our behalf to The Africa Trust. These funds are used to directly build fresh drinking water wells in areas in Africa where it is needed the most, such as schools and villages.

To date, AquAid has donated over £20 million to charity and built over 10,000 Elephant Pumps. We are truly honoured to be part of this impactful mission.

About The Africa Trust

Founded in 2010, The Africa Trust strives to bring sustainable solutions to poverty in Africa. The organisation’s key focus is to provide water and sanitation to those less fortunate.

The Africa Trust has many initiatives, with their largest programme being Water and Sanitation which holds over four million beneficiaries to date. Here, the donations help to provide long-term access to clean water and decent sanitation to those in need.

To support this programme, The Africa Trust’s founder, Ian Thorpe, invented the Elephant Pump, which is now used every day to draw water by over four million people. Nearly 1,000 new Elephant Pumps are installed in poor rural villages and schools across Zimbabwe each year.
