EcoVadis evaluates companies across four key areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, assigning a score based on their performance. The assessment provides an independent evaluation of how effectively organisations are managing their sustainability responsibilities, while also identifying opportunities for continued improvement.
Our ESG Progress
Sustainability is central to our Beyond Cleaning strategy and our ambition to create long term value for our people, clients, communities and stakeholders.
Over recent years, we have continued to strengthen our approach to sustainability, making significant progress across the business, particularly in environmental management and the systems we have introduced to reduce our environmental impact.
This progress is supported by internationally recognised management systems, including ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and ISO 50001 for energy management. It also reflects the policies, governance and processes we have embedded across areas including carbon reduction, waste management, ethical business practices, employee wellbeing and responsible procurement.
As part of the EcoVadis assessment, our supply chain was also evaluated, including how we manage supplier standards, procurement processes and sustainability considerations throughout our purchasing decisions. This is particularly significant, as many of our environmental impacts are influenced by the products, equipment, vehicles and partners we choose to work with.
Our progress in these areas is highlighted throughout our 2025 Sustainability Impact Report. During the year, 84% of our product spend was on sustainably rated products, while procurement improvements contributed to a 34% reduction in carbon intensity and avoided more than 4,000kg of CO₂e emissions. Alongside this, we achieved a 44% reduction in CO₂ emissions per vehicle and continued to invest in initiatives that support the long term decarbonisation of our operations.
Supporting Client and Stakeholder Expectations
As a cleaning and facilities services provider, we recognise the important role we play within our clients’ wider supply chains. Independent assessments such as EcoVadis provide valuable assurance that our sustainability, governance and procurement practices are aligned with recognised international standards, giving clients and stakeholders greater confidence in the way we operate.
Our commitment extends beyond delivering high quality cleaning services. We continually consider the wider environmental and social impact of our operations, from the products and equipment we use to the way we work with suppliers and support our people. By embedding sustainability into our day to day decision making, we aim to create long term value for our clients while contributing to a more responsible and sustainable future.
Continuing the Journey Forward
Achieving an EcoVadis Committed badge marks another milestone in our sustainability journey, but it is by no means the finish line. The assessment has provided valuable independent insight into our strengths, while highlighting opportunities to further develop and enhance our approach.
We will use these findings to continue strengthening our ESG strategy, with a focus on improving environmental performance, responsible procurement, employee wellbeing, ethical business practices and the positive impact we create for our clients, colleagues and communities.
