As a longstanding supporter of the Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA), we always value the opportunity to attend and spend time with others from across the industry. Events like these provide a chance to step away from the day-to-day demands of the business and connect with colleagues, partners and peers who share a common commitment to raising standards within the cleaning and facilities management sector.
The luncheon is also an important opportunity to hear different perspectives, exchange ideas and discuss some of the challenges and opportunities facing our industry – whether focused on workforce development, sustainability, innovation or future growth.
We’re proud to be part of an industry that continues to evolve and improve. The annual Savoy Lunch has long provided a valuable forum for bringing people together, recognising achievement and encouraging meaningful discussion between professionals from across the sector.
The luncheon continues to be a highlight of the industry calendar and we look forward to supporting it for many years to come.
A powerful programme of speakers and entertainment for industry professionals
This year’s lunch featured an engaging programme of entertainment and thought provoking guest speakers that brought together professionals from across the industry.
The afternoon was expertly hosted by comedian and broadcaster Hal Cruttenden, whose humour and energy kept the audience entertained throughout the event. Drawing on his extensive experience as a stand up comedian, television presenter and radio personality, Hal created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while guiding guests through the programme.
Attendees were also moved by a powerful presentation from Martine Wright MBE. A survivor of the 7/7 London bombings, Martine shared her remarkable personal journey of recovery, resilience and achievement. Having lost both legs in the attack, she went on to become a Paralymian, representing Team GB in sitting volleyball at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Her story offered a moving and honest reflection on resilience in the face of profound loss and overcoming of the challenges she faced.
Together, the speakers provided a memorable balance of entertainment, inspiration and reflection, making the event a truly worthwhile experience for all those in attendance.
Reflecting on industry progress
The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress being made across the industry. From innovation and technology to workforce development and sustainability, discussions throughout the day highlighted the collective commitment to raising standards and creating positive change across the sector.
