Founded in 1972 by the late Bob Andrews and his dear friend Dave O’Connell, our company began as a small family business. Over the last 50 years, DOC Cleaning has grown into a trusted name in the cleaning industry, employing over 1,500 staff and generating an annual turnover exceeding £35 million.
The business has remained a family legacy thanks to Bob’s sons, Danny Andrews and Lee Andrews. The Andrews family is as committed as ever, with multiple generations actively involved in driving the company forward.
Despite our significant growth, we maintain our identity as an independent, family-led business, blending exceptional standards, trusted client relationships and traditional values with a passion for progress and innovation.
In recent years, we have expanded our services to cover the entire nation, building on our strong foundation in London and the Southeast. We are proud to count some of the world’s most iconic buildings in our growing portfolio.

In 2022, to broaden our impact within society, we developed a robust sustainability strategy, ‘Beyond Cleaning‘. Our Beyond Cleaning strategy supports the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with long-term objectives that ensure year-on-year progress.
We regularly update our stakeholders on our initiatives, and in 2024, we published our Sustainability Impact Report with the steps we’ve taken to promote a better tomorrow. In all that we do, we are driven by our purpose to provide positive experiences and safer spaces by operating fairly, transparently and ethically.
