Welcome to DOC Life, Volume 13 – our quarterly update on our developments across the company. This edition focuses on April to June 2026, another positive quarter for us as we continue to build on our progress and reach new milestones across the business.
Newsletter Highlights
Here are some of our highlights from the latest edition of DOC Life:
Leadership Reflection
The latest edition of DOC Life opens with a welcome message from our Joint Managing Director, Lee Andrews, reflecting on another positive quarter for DOC and the progress we’ve made together across the business.
In his introduction, Lee recognises the continued growth of our client partnerships, the colleagues who have joined Team DOC and our ongoing investment in technology, sustainability and future talent. He also reflects on our commitment to developing our people through career development opportunities and our Bright Futures programme, alongside the operational improvements we’re delivering through FacilityApps and the continued growth of our Vertical Division.
The message also highlights the publication of our 2025 Sustainability Impact Report and the partnerships, achievements and community initiatives that continue to shape our Beyond Cleaning strategy.
Lee concludes by thanking colleagues across the business for their continued hard work and commitment, recognising that our success is driven by the dedication of our people and the positive impact we create for our clients, colleagues and communities.
New Mobilisations
This quarter, we successfully mobilised several new contracts, strengthening our presence across a range of commercial environments and further expanding our portfolio.
Each mobilisation was delivered through a collaborative, company-wide effort, ensuring a smooth transition for both our clients and new colleagues. Working closely across departments, our teams supported every stage of the mobilisation process, from planning and onboarding to operational delivery.
As part of these successful mobilisations, we were pleased to welcome a number of new colleagues to Team DOC, reflecting our continued growth and investment in our people.
Alongside these new beginnings, we were also delighted to secure the renewal of several long-standing partnerships, demonstrating the confidence our clients continue to place in the quality of our services and the dedication of our teams.
Welcoming New Starters
We’re excited to have welcomed two new starters to the DOC team, expanding both our People & Culture and Commercial departments.
Ella McGuinness joined us as People Advisor, supporting colleagues and managers across the business with day-to-day guidance across a wide range of People & Culture matters.
We also welcome Heidi Needham, who has joined as Business Development Executive within our Commercial team. Heidi will support business development activity, helping to identify opportunities, support growth and build long-term relationships with clients.
A warm welcome to Ella and Heidi. We’re delighted to have them both on board!
ESG in Action
Our ESG activity continues to grow across the business, with this edition highlighting several new initiatives, partnerships and industry events.
At the beginning of June, we took part in a number of Cleaning & Support Services Association events. Sophie O’Shea, our Head of Marketing, joined an expert panel at the CSSA Southern Community Group’s Question Time event, discussing key topics including artificial intelligence, sustainability, workforce challenges, automation and the future of service delivery, and Jamie Bull, Joint Managing Director, led a conversation on climate strategy at the CSSA’s Turning Sustainability Into Commercial Advantage event, focusing on how organisations can embed sustainability into everyday decision making, using data and innovation to improve operational performance and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
Alongside these events, the newsletter also covers the launch of our 2025 Sustainability Impact Report, our continued partnership with the Soup Kitchen, the Ride Recycle Repeat initiative at Moor House, our support for Let’s Feed Brum and our Wear Mauve for Grove fundraising activity for Grove Cottage.
Vertical Division Update
One of the key highlights featured in this edition is the achievement of IRATA membership, marking an important milestone in the continued growth of our Vertical Division.
Internationally recognised within the rope access industry, IRATA membership demonstrates our commitment to safe systems of work, technical competence and high standards of operational control.
For our clients, it provides added confidence that our rope access services are delivered in line with established industry requirements and supported by robust procedures, training and supervision.
This achievement also provides a strong platform for the continued growth of our specialist services. Thank you to everyone whose hard work and dedication made this milestone possible.
