Here are some of our highlights from the latest edition of DOC Life:

Leadership Transition: A New Era for DOC Cleaning

We are proud to confirm that Lee T Andrews and Jamie Bull have been appointed Joint Managing Directors, as part of a planned transition that also sees Lee Senior and Danny Andrews take up roles as Joint Chairmen.

With over 20 years of service each, Lee and Jamie bring deep operational knowledge and shared values that will continue to shape the company’s direction. Their roles are clearly defined with Lee T Andrews overseeing commercial and operational areas, focusing on service delivery, client experience and business development, and Jamie Bull leading on finance, compliance, IT and people services, supporting the company’s governance, infrastructure and scalability.

This transition ensures continuity, while positioning DOC for future growth through strong leadership and cohesive decision-making.

Strategic Expansion: Launch of the Vertical Division

On 1st March 2025, we launched our new Vertical Division, integrating window cleaning into our core service offering. This move enhances our operational control, strengthens service continuity and supports our long-term strategy to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across all client environments.

To lead this division, we are pleased to welcome Louis Wright as Regional Director and Amber Roberts as Operations Support Manager, whose expertise and leadership will be instrumental in shaping this important area of the business as it evolves. This strategic addition aligns with our Beyond Cleaning approach, enabling us to implement more sustainable practices while meeting the complex needs of our clients with agility and care.

Financial Leadership: Welcoming Michael Peile

We are pleased to welcome Michael Peile as our new Financial Director. Michael has worked closely with DOC for over seven years through our external accountancy partners, and now joins us in-house to lead the production of monthly management accounts and provide strategic financial oversight.

Michael’s insight and familiarity with the business will help us continue to build a strong, financially sustainable future.

Audit Success: ISO Certification Update

Following a comprehensive audit by Alcumus, DOC Cleaning has once again achieved full ISO recertification, with zero non-conformities across ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001.

This outcome is a testament to our robust systems, continuous improvement culture, and operational consistency. Special thanks to our teams at Moor House and Moor Place, whose site excellence and professionalism during the audit were specifically commended.

Financial Wellbeing: Support for Our Teams

National Living Wage Update
As of April 2025, the National Living Wage has increased to £11.44 per hour. Any team member seeking guidance regarding this update is encouraged to speak with their line manager or the payroll team.

Launch of BHN Extras
To mark National Employee Appreciation Day, we introduced BHN Extras, a new benefits platform offering discounts, cashback and savings across retail, travel, leisure and essential services. This initiative supports our ongoing focus on employee wellbeing and cost-of-living support.

ESG in Action: Sustainability & Community Engagement

Global Recycling Day 2025
To support the new Simpler Recycling Legislation, we released a Guide to Simpler Recycling, designed to help clients and businesses navigate the regulatory changes with clarity and confidence.

Volunteering with Bunzl
In collaboration with BCHS, members of our team participated in sustainability and community initiatives – from tree planting in May’s Wood, Nottinghamshire, to hands-on volunteering at Pets Corner in Harlow. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and social value.

Jane’s Fundraising Festival of 50
Our HR Director, Jane Malone, has committed to a series of physical challenges in support of Heartburn Cancer UK, in memory of her stepfather. We are proud to support Jane’s mission and encourage colleagues to follow her story through our website and LinkedIn.
