Leigh’s promotion marks an important step in the continued development of our newly rebranded People and Culture Team. The new role reflects not only her personal contribution and commitment but also the evolving and increasingly strategic role our People and Culture Team plays across the organisation.
As DOC Cleaning continues to grow and invest in our people, this role is central to how we support colleagues, empower managers and shape a workplace culture where everyone can thrive.
Recognised for Going Beyond
Leigh has been a valued part of DOC Cleaning for more than six years. During this time, she has built a reputation for thoughtful leadership and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing for our people. Leigh’s work has ensured clarity and consistency in how we care for our people and uphold our values.
Earlier this year, Leigh was honoured with a Beyond Cleaning Award, recognising her outstanding contribution to our people strategy and her unwavering commitment to supporting colleagues across DOC Cleaning.
She was specifically recognised for her work in establishing a groundbreaking partnership between DOC Cleaning and HMP High Down through the New Futures Network — a specialist part of the prison service that connects prisons with employers. This initiative enables our organisation to offer meaningful employment opportunities to prison leavers, supporting rehabilitation and helping reduce reoffending rates.
Through this work, Leigh has helped develop a more inclusive approach to recruitment and community engagement, reflecting our commitment to social impact and long-term change. By creating sustainable career pathways and strengthening local partnerships, she has contributed to a strategy that builds opportunity, fosters dignity and leaves a lasting positive legacy for individuals and communities alike.
Supporting Our Strategy and Culture
As Head of the People Advisory Team, Leigh will take on overall responsibility for strategic people support – including employee relations, policy development and engagement. Her role will ensure that our people-first approach is embedded in day-to-day decisions and that we continue to build a workplace grounded in fairness, respect and inclusion.
This promotion also supports our wider Beyond Cleaning strategy, particularly our commitment to empowering our people, one of the strategy’s four core pillars. It brings us closer to our ambition of creating a workplace where individuals feel valued, supported and able to grow.
Under Leigh’s leadership, our People and Culture Team will continue to offer expert support and guide people-related decisions that strengthen both our culture and day-to-day operations.
Congratulations, Leigh!
Please join us in congratulating Leigh on this exciting new chapter in her career. We’re incredibly proud to have her stepping into this role and leading the way as we continue to grow with people at the heart of everything we do.
