Here are some of our highlights from the latest edition of DOC Life:

People & Culture Rebrand: Reflecting Our Focus & Values

We’re excited to announce that the Human Resources (HR) team is rebranding. We are officially rebranding to the ‘People and Culture Team’ with immediate effect.

We feel that the traditional term “Human Resources” no longer reflects the wider remit and people-centred focus of the work of our team as a strategic partner to the business. This is a change that reflects a deeper shift in how we think about our people, our culture, and our future as an organisation.

By rebranding as the People and Culture Team, we are building on our commitment of:

  • Empowering our People – putting people first in every decision, policy, and initiative.
  • Building a purpose-driven culture that reflects our values and aims.
  • Partnering with teams to build capability, growth and development, and engagement.
  • Creating positive change in areas like diversity and inclusion, employee experience, leadership development and wellbeing.

Charity Golf Tournament 2025: Supporting Grove Cottage

On Wednesday 25th June, we hosted our 2025 Charity Golf Tournament in support of our local charity partner, Grove Cottage, based in Bishop’s Stortford. Held at the impressive Manor of Groves Golf Club in Sawbridgeworth, teams compiled of supply chain partners, clients and our own staff took part in an 18-hole golf tournament for a memorable day of sport, networking and giving back.

As part of our Beyond Cleaning sustainability strategy, we are committed to empowering those we connect with to take positive action for the planet and society. We are proud to have worked alongside Grove Cottage since 2011, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in the communities we serve for many years to come.

2025 European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards: In Partnership with The National Gallery

We are proud to share that we have been shortlisted for Excellence in Client–Contractor Partnerships, in partnership with The National Gallery.

This recognition shines a light on our 53-year relationship and celebrates the values that define our work – trust, care and long-term collaboration. Over the decades, we have worked together through major exhibitions, renovations, high-profile events and operational changes. The Gallery has been part of our journey from day one, and we remain committed to its future success.

Facility Apps Launch: Enhancing Our Operations

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming rollout of FacilityApps – a new mobile-enabled platform designed to enhance how we manage cleaning operations across DOC Cleaning. With the initial rollout will beginning in early September, all staff will receive clear guidance on how to download and access the app. Training and support will be provided to ensure a smooth transition and to give teams the opportunity to ask any questions and familiarise themselves with the platform.

Share your story with us

We’d like to remind and encourage all team members to put forward subjects or stories that may be of interest to the DOC family and our clients.
