Last week, our team had the privilege of attending one of the cleaning industry’s most prestigious occasions – the CSSA Savoy Luncheon. Held at the iconic Savoy Hotel in London, the luncheon is a landmark event that brings together leaders, peers, and partners from across our sector for a day of connection, celebration, and reflection.
Stepping into the Savoy ballroom, with its chandeliers, mirrored walls, and timeless grandeur, set the tone for a truly special afternoon. The CSSA has long championed the value and professionalism of the cleaning industry, and this annual luncheon is a perfect demonstration of that commitment.
Our Team
We were proud to attend with a strong group of colleagues representing the breadth of DOC Cleaning. Our Joint Managing Directors, Jamie Bull and Lee Andrews, were joined by Commercial Director David Brown, Vertical Division Managing Director Gareth Thomas, People and Culture Director Jane Malone, Head of the People Advisory Team Leigh Goldsmith, Head of Marketing Sophie O’Shea, Operations Directors Tony Hall and Luke Smith, and Compliance Director Vince Turner.
Bringing together colleagues from different areas of the business gave us the chance to celebrate as one team while representing our collective expertise to the wider industry. The CSSA Savoy Luncheon remains a highlight of the professional calendar.
Hundreds of professionals attend each year, representing businesses of all sizes, from family firms to national organisations. The event reminds us that while we may often compete for contracts, we share the same vision of a professional and respected cleaning sector. It also offers a platform to talk about the challenges and opportunities we all face, from sustainability to technology, recruitment to compliance.
These themes connect strongly with our own Beyond Cleaning strategy, which recognises that cleaning is about more than simply delivering a service. It is about empowering our people, supporting our clients’ wider goals, and contributing to healthier, more sustainable spaces for everyone.
An Afternoon of Building Connections
One of the greatest values of the luncheon is the chance to connect. Throughout the afternoon, our team enjoyed conversations with industry colleagues, partners and friends, exchanging experiences and ideas.
In a sector as dynamic as ours, collaboration is essential. Networking at events like this opens doors to fresh perspectives, strengthens partnerships and helps us understand how others are responding to the evolving needs of clients and communities.
Looking Forward
The 2025 luncheon also gave us space to look ahead.
The cleaning industry faces ongoing challenges – from attracting and retaining skilled people to embracing digital tools and responding to environmental responsibilities. What stood out on the day was the shared determination of everyone in the room to continue evolving and improving.
For our team, the event provided a moment to celebrate progress while reinforcing our commitment to the future. It reminded us that success is built on not only contracts and services, but on relationships, collaboration and a commitment to raising standards for the benefit of clients, colleagues and communities alike.
Thanks to the CSSA
We extend our thanks to the CSSA for hosting yet another remarkable event and to everyone who joined us in making it such a memorable occasion.
As we continue our journey, we remain committed to supporting the industry that has given us so much, to empowering our people, and to delivering a standard of service that truly goes beyond cleaning.
